The Challenge
The Bridge House operates across multiple trading areas, including reception and dining spaces, the Cellar Bar, the Potting Shed garden bar, and guest accommodation on the first and second floors.
The existing wireless network was unable to provide reliable coverage throughout the site. The ICRTouch EPOS terminal in the Potting Shed frequently disconnected from the network, which caused staff to lose communication with the main system.
- Staff had to manually recreate tables and re-key orders when customers moved between indoor and outdoor seating.
- Food orders from the Potting Shed did not always print automatically in the kitchen, so staff had to walk tickets through to the chefs.
- Card payment machines struggled to maintain a reliable connection, slowing down payments and impacting customer service.
- Guests staying on the upper floors experienced inconsistent Wi-Fi coverage.
The customer also wanted to improve site security while creating a technology platform capable of supporting future expansion.
